LGBTQ South End and Waterfront Boston Summer Engagement
Amidst crazy hot temps and tons of rain, we’ve been #blessed with some gorgeous summer weather. I was so thrilled to meet Joe (he/him) and Corey (he/him) in-person on a beautiful day in the South End for their engagement sesh!
Ahead of time we’d set up a brief gameplan of spots they wanted to hit, and we mapped it out. But when we met up, I was suddenly inspired with an idea that I pitched to them that they happily agreed to: enjoying a glass of wine at THE most picturesque wine bar in Boston (in my humble option, as someone who likes pictures and wine): Frenchie!
Quick sidenote about this: Frenchie was one of the first spots I ever did wedding photos in, at the beginning of my wedding career in 2018. I was so, SO nervous at the time (no reason to be, the photos banged, but I was new to directing strangers! I remember feeling SO out of my element). Returning here again after 7 years really showed me that I’ve chosen the right path and am so, so much more comfortable doing what I do. And even better, that now I’m almost exclusively working alongside the queer community. It really is like night and day compared to old times, and sometimes it just takes being back in a place you used to feel lost in to realize how much you’ve grown.
Anyway. Enough about me. Joe and Corey are truly two sweethearts. They’re spontaneous, genuine, appreciative of the arts and a good glass of wine: LITERALLY BEST COMBO in my other humble opinion.
But most of all…they love each other :)
They enjoyed some wine, we yapped about theater and beach spots and pets, and then bopped over to Fan Pier in the Seaport to stroll along the sunny cobbled walkways. We saw so many good dogs…in fact I’m pretty sure there was a pomeranian meetup. Amazing.
I really loved capturing how gentle and sweet these two are with each other and I’m kind of already kicking my feet in excitement for the big day.
I can’t wait to capture their big P-town celebration SOON! For now, enjoy these lovebirds as we had some wine and strolled the gorgeous, iconic Boston waterfront at Fan Pier.
