My name is Riley, and I consider myself an artist before a vendor. I choose my clients as carefully and with as much thought as they choose their wedding professionals, because my best work comes from who I connect with. Want to see if we "click"? Read on.

My work as a photographer and relationship with my clients are the most important things in the world to me. I do what I love for a living, and I throw my all into it with select weddings a year. I take great care in what weddings I choose to book, so that when I do show up, I'm refreshed, excited, and inspired. You will feel that when you work with me, and see it when your galleries are sent your way.

To fully tell your story I use a blend of unobtrusive candid photography, refined detail work, and posed portraits. Photography found me when I was seventeen; inspired heavily by the striking editorial work of Vogue and Vanity Fair as an adolescent, I then dove into conceptual, creative portraiture with a stylistic flair. Now, I seek natural light and shadows to accentuate my visuals and contribute to what I found as my personal style.

Throughout over a decade of growing, I incorporate that with the clients I choose, and bring out their best angles with thoughtful compositions. I aspire to be not only an artistic presence, but also a calming and pleasant one for you, your families, and your guests.

To keep it short and sweet, I love my job. I take great care in making sure every shot is meaningful- from those they request to those they didn't even know they would want. Please tour my website to see the moments I love to capture.

I am currently booking weddings and engagements for 2020-2021 - Based in Boston, but will travel wherever love takes you.

Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS' WORK?

A: I blend my love of color, light, and emotion  to create powerful images unbound by four corners. With my refined sense of visuals, and a passion for telling stories, the magical moments and narrative of your special day will flow seamlessly with each shot.

Q: HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU?

Really, really easy.

My clients frequently remark on the ease of working with me, and that I am accessible for all types of people- whether you're familiar with photography or this is your first time stepping in front of a lens, I will know exactly how to work with you as a couple to get the most out of your investment. My sessions are always genuine, candid, & fun! I am extensively experienced with making my client's presence in front of a camera effortless.

Q: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

My business is based in Boston, but I photograph weddings throughout New England and beyond. I frequently travel to the Carolinas as well.

Q: HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING UNTIL WE GET OUR PICTURES BACK?

Please allow 4-6 weeks turnaround for edited wedding images, and 2-3 weeks for engagement images.

Q: HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE GET BACK FROM OUR WEDDING DAY?

Depending on your package, weddings can yield 200-400 images.

Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

Most couples book about 6-8 months before their wedding. I book some weddings as far as 12 months in advance, and also as little as 2 or 3 months ahead. Please feel free to contact me with your date and I will see what we can work out!

Q: WILL WE GET THE COPYRIGHTS TO OUR PHOTOS AFTER OUR WEDDING?

A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full copyright release.

Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?

A: Send me an email at rileywestv@gmail.com, and I can give you more information on this. A 50% retainer and signed contract is required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar. One month prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due.

Q: DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?

A: I highly recommend ordering prints through my selected professional vendors. The difference in quality is HUGE when it comes to ordering through a local printer and a professional lab, so I do encourage clients to let me take care of ordering prints for them.

Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

A: I use all of the latest Canon equipment. All of my pieces have a backup in the rare event that anything should occur to one of my cameras or lenses.

Q: I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS / I'M COMPLETELY SOLD! WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP?

A: Please contact me and we'll move forward!
