Cozy Boston Seaport LGBTQ Proposal

Sylvie and Lauren met at Club Cafe in Boston and sparks flew. When Sylvie decided to pop the big question, I was so excited they contacted me by finding my posts on Queer Exchange Boston, a Facebook group for the local queer community to find information, apartments, vendors, and general conversation. Since they couldn’t post in it without ruining the surprise, they found some past posts of mine showcasing my work. I was so excited to be in on the secret! We chatted for a bit about the when’s and where’s, and the rest fell into place.

It was a beautiful sunny day. Not too cold, but it IS Boston in the winter, so naturally it was quite windy at the ICA, where these avid museum-goers were on a date that afternoon. Tucked away in a quiet shady corner by the water, Sylvie got down on one knee. Smiles and happy tears were had, which are my favorite things to photograph :) We made the windswept look work for us as we walked along the harbor, taking some photos in front of the gorgeous sunlit Boston skyline before warming up in a nearby cafe.

Congrats, Sylvie and Lauren!
