The Barn at Gibbet Hill Autumn Wedding Groton MA

Julie and Jason are something special. I felt it when I first met them last year; every part of them was genuine and passionate. To be perfectly honest I thought they were clients that felt too good to be true. Often, couples tend to think meeting a photographer for a consultation is to see if they want to hire them - and that’s certainly true. But for me, it’s also a consultation to see if I want to work with them. After all, I do my best work when I can relate to and feel comfortable with my clients. When I met Julie and Jason,  I knew I wanted to photograph their wedding - so when they chose me, I was elated.

When I see them together, I see two people very deeply in love, very dedicated, very fun-loving, and very open with each other. Transparency is the backbone of a healthy relationship, and their openness with each other sets a stage for understanding and empathy.

Seriously, these two are relationship goals. They care for each other so innately and it struck me throughout their engagement session and carried through to their wedding, where the day was filled with love, laughter, music, and lots of unabashedly joyous dancing that had me beaming from behind the camera.

The Barn at Gibbet Hill was the stage for their day, where Julie and Jason and all their loved ones shook the floor with their celebration.

After the day was done, and they had danced the day away, I convinced them both to power through for one last bit and shoot at the brilliant sunset at Bancroft Castle - old castle ruins seated at the peak of Gibbet Hill. It was totally worth the little hike.

Thank you to Julie, Jason, and your lovely families. Congratulations!
